چکیده

The removal of heavy metals present in water is an issue environmental interest, due to bioaccumulation,
biomagnification and the carcinogenic mutagenic effects on living beings. objective study was use plantain peel residues Chromium (VI) Nickel (II) continuous system, evaluating effect bedheight, temperature adsorbent particle size process; obtaining a 98.7% 99.71% yield for Cr Ni(II), respectively. FTIR showed that bioadsorbent has
heterogeneous structure with presence hydroxyl groups, saturated unsaturated hydrocarbons, carbonyls, carboxyl, among others, it established process controlled by electrostatic reactions between active centers metal. breaka ge curve carried out under optimal conditions Response Surface Methodology (RSM) the
has extensive useful life, as not throughout process. hermodynamic parameters exothermic irreversible, being favored at room temperature. Taking into account behavior peels during breakage curve, recommended filler packed bed remove Ni (II).

Adsorption of Cr(VI) and Speciation of Cr(VI) and Cr(III) in Aqueous Solutions Using Chemically Modified Chitosan

A new type of grafting chitosan (CTS) was synthesized using 2-hydroxyethyl-trimethyl ammonium chloride (HGCTS). The adsorption of Cr(VI) on HGCTS was studied. The effect factors on adsorption and the adsorption mechanism were considered. The results indicated that the HGCTS could concentrate and separate Cr(VI) at pH 4.0; the adsorption equilibrium time was 80 min; the maximum adsorption capaci...

Mathematical models applied to the Cr(III) and Cr(VI) breakthrough curves.

Trivalent and hexavalent chromium continuous biosorption was studied using residual brewer Saccharomyces cerevisiae immobilized in volcanic rock. The columns used in the process had a diameter of 4.5 cm and a length of 140 cm, working at an inlet flow rate of 15 mL/min. Breakthrough curves were used to study the yeast biosorption behavior in the process. The saturation time (ts) was 21 and 45 h...

Experimental study and thermodynamic modeling of the Al–Co–Cr–Ni system

A thermodynamic database for the Al-Co-Cr-Ni system is built via the Calphad method by extrapolating re-assessed ternary subsystems. A minimum number of quaternary parameters are included, which are optimized using experimental phase equilibrium data obtained by electron probe micro-analysis and x-ray diffraction analysis of NiCoCrAlY alloys spanning a wide compositional range, after annealing ...

Adsorption of Pb ( II ) , Ni ( II ) and Sr ( II ) Ions

of past research 1) The individual and competitive adsorption of metal ions on graphene oxides (GOs) studies by experimental and DFT calculation The heavy metal ions can be accumulated in living tissues, so they must be removed from polluted water. Graphene oxides (GOs) are considered as the ideal adsorbent material because the large quantities of oxygen-containing functional groups strengthen ...
